Our new outpatients

The Christie hosts a total of 95,000 outpatient appointments at the six outpatient locations across the site each year, and for many people this it is their first introduction to the hospital.

All outpatient clinics now operate from the new outpatients A (department 22). Patients can now self-check-in at screens placed in the outpatients reception lobby, just off the main corridor. These self-check-in screens are also available in outpatients B (department 42). There are staff members and volunteers on hand at all times to help patients check in and find their way around our new department.

Useful information for patients:

Outpatients clinics: If you previously had outpatient appointments in department 42, these now operate from outpatients A (department 22). The nearest entrance to this is the Palatine Road entrance and there will be signage in place and staff on hand to guide you there. You will also receive a letter containing this information.

If you have an appointment for bloods before your clinic, you will still need to head to department 42 until the new phlebotomy department (department 35) opens in early May.
