Welcome to the second edition of our GP
newsletter. The newsletter will be published online every quarter
and will provide information on key issues and current themes. If
you have any topics you would like to see covered, or areas of

The Christie clinical portal
The Christie developed the secure, browser-based portal in
response to findings from recent reports into cancer care services.
The portal enables access to clinical patient records held at The
Christie. Registered GPs and acute oncology staff can log in to the
clinical portal to view patients' clinical records who are current
under the care of The Christie. Records are refreshed from Christie
clinical systems every 24 hours.
GPs can choose from a list of Christie patients registered at
their practice to view treatment, diagnostic and demographic
data.

The clinical portal forms part of The Christie's strategy of
improving primary care access to patient records and empowers
medical staff with secure access to patient data 24/7.
