Short courses and study days

Professional training

CMPE is accredited by the IPEM to train Clinical Scientists and Clinical Technologists.

Scientist Training Programme

The Scientist Training Programme (STP) was introduced during 2011 as part of Modernising Scientific Careers (MSC). It has replaced the IPEM Clinical Scientist training (CST) scheme. STP provides a three year training programme of workplace learning integrated with a master's degree in medical physics. The training posts offer broad based training across a range of medical physics rotations in different departments before specialisation in the last 18 months of training.
