This website was launched by Cancer Research UK in December 2004

Macmillan Cancer Support
Macmillan Cancer Support is a UK charity
supporting people with cancer and their families with specialist
information, treatment and care. That support is available from the
moment that cancer is diagnosed.

Marie Curie Cancer Care
Founded in 1948, Marie Curie Cancer Care
is now the UK's largest and most comprehensive cancer care charity.
Marie Curie Cancer Care is working for people with cancer in four

Curie Nurses across the UK giving practical nursing care at home to
people with cancer, free of charge.

A United States site providing
comprehensive cancer information and discussion boards. Useful link
for a different perspective from UK sites.
Leukaemia CARE
Leukaemia CARE was formed as The Leukaemia
Care Society in 1967 by a small group of parents - some of whom had
children with leukaemia, others had lost children with the illness.
All were aware of the way in which serious illness isolates
patients and their families from the community. They joined
together for mutual support and friendship and to help families of
newly diagnosed patients in the same position. It has since
expanded to embrace Adult members.

Lynphoma
Association
Founded by patients in 1986, the Lymphoma
Association is the only specialist UK charity that provides
accurate medical information and support to lymphatic cancer
patients, their families and friends.
Mesothelioma UK
Mesothelioma UK provides impartial
up-to-date information for patients diagnosed with Mesothelioma and
their carers. The Centre supports the development of specialist

Smoke Free North West is a campaign aiming
