Three day event 22nd June - 24th June

The British Gas Great North Swim is a one mile open water swim taking place in beautiful Lake Windermere. It is the UK's biggest outdoor swimming event which now takes place over 3 days. As participants can choose from 3 distances - 1 mile, ½ mile or 2 miles, it really is a brilliant challenge for swimmers of all abilities, from first timers to Olympic champions.

Registration for the 2012 British Gas Great North Swim is now open at http://www.greatswim.org/! Don't forget to tick the box that indicates that you would like to swim for The Christie!

The Christie has a number of guaranteed entry (charity) places for this years 1 mile event which are available in return for a minimum sponsorship pledge of £200. If you would like to be considered for one of our places then please complete the online application form.

All our swimmers will receive excellent pre and post swim support from our expert events team who will also be on hand on the day to welcome our swimmers after they have completed the swim.
