Special Events
Do you want to show your support of The Christie
but organising your own event or taking up a sporting challenge is
not for you?
The Christie organises a wide variety of special events through
which you can pledge your support and you can learn more about the
work of The Christie.
Join us at our annual Christmas concert or attend organised
events such as ladies lunch or our Christie Ball.
You can also learn about new treatments and developments at
our quarterly Supporter Seminars where leading scientists and
clinicians provide a fascinating insight into their area of
expertise and advances in research.
We're inviting ladies throughout the North
West to spread a little glamour from June 2012 and organise a
ladies lunch event during the summer to raise money for The
Christie. Why not support one of these lunches in your local area?
Details will follow nearer the time.
If you prefer to arrange your own lunch click here for
resources and details on how to go about planning one.
Supporters Seminars are an opportunity for you to hear about the
work going on in the hospital from day to day and to learn about
the projects that your generosity helps to make possible.....
Our next Supporter's Seminar is being held on
Wednesday 16th May 2012

The Christie Ball
Our 2012 ball will be held in the autumn and details will follow
nearer the time.
Last year a host of stars came to support The Christie at the
Star Ball which was held on the 15th October 2011 at the Hilton
Manchester Deansgate. Over 380 people attended and it was a night
packed full of entertainment and celebrities. The funds raised from
this event will go towards developing a new unit for our teenage
and young cancer patients.
Christmas Concert
We will hold our annual Christmas concert
in December 2012 and details of this will follow
shortly.
Our December 2011 concert was a fun-filled
night of festive carols, held at the Monastery Manchester on
Tuesday 13th with over 450 people attending. We were joined by
"England's winning tenor" Martin Toal, school choirs from The
Ryleys and St Johns RC Primary as well as special guests including
UK violinist Craig Owen and singers Kayley Rose and Helen
England.
