Glamorous comedy and couture event aims to boost charity funds
Press Release Posted 26 July 2010
Sumptuous cuisine, side splitting comedy acts and an exclusive
fashion show are just some of the treats on offer at a charity
event being held on Thursday 23rd September to raise money for The
Christie.
The glamorous 'Comedy and Couture' night is being held at Mere
Golf and Country Club in Cheshire and is being organised by
Christie governor Racheline Garston who lives in Hale. Racheline is
one of The Christie's most prolific and successful fundraisers and
has singlehandedly raised hundreds of thousands of pounds to help
cancer patients.
As well as a champagne reception and delicious meal, this latest
event will combine the talents of two stand-up comedians with a
fashion show by the clothes boutique 'Plum' which is based in Hale.
There will also be an autumn market selling the latest jewellery,
skincare and beauty products and confectionary.
Racheline said; "I'm really excited about this event. The Mere
Golf and Country Club is the perfect setting, the food will be
mouth-watering and some of the unique gifts on offer will be
perfect if you have any birthdays coming up or if you just want to
treat yourself.
"Money raised will help fund some of The Christie's current
developments such as its new £35 million patient treatment centre
which will house the largest early clinical trials unit in the
world, and its new radiotherapy centre in Salford which will allow
people to be treated much closer to home."
Tickets for the event cost £60. For more information contact
