Manchester to Blackpool 2015

The Manchester to Blackpool Bike Ride is The Christies largest cycling event attended by over 7,000 cyclists last year.

This invigorating ride is an extremely popular event amongst cyclists covering a 60 mile route starting at Manchester United's Football Ground at Old Trafford going along country lanes to the finish on the South Promenade in Blackpool, where riders can enjoy a barbecue, live music and a well-earned massage.

Congratulations to our wonderful cyclists!

We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who took part in the 2015 Manchester to Blackpool bike ride. Despite a soggy start at Old Trafford over 5,500 people completed the the challenge to finish in a much sunnier Blackpool.

We hope that you all had a fantastic time and are proud of what you achieved. We loved cheering you on and congratulating you as you crossed the finish line and would like to say a big thank you to Soreen and AG Barr for donating the water and Soreen bars, we hope you enjoyed them!

We will be posting our photos from the day on our facebook page here. Have a look and tag yourselves!

The Christie IPU.

This year we are delighted to announce that the money raised from the Manchester to Blackpool Bike Ride will be used to build a state of the art Integrated Procedures Unit (IPU).

This exciting specially designed building will bring together the 5 services that our day patients need under one roof. Every aspect of their treatment will happen in one place, by integrating and expanding the five main treatment services, we can reduce waiting times, speed up treatment sessions, eliminating transfers between departments and minimising the need for overnight stays.
