The Kostoris Library - Library Services
Inter-library loans
If there is an article or book that you require and it is not
available from the library, we can usually obtain it for you
through our inter library loans service.
Articles can be requested by using the WinCHILL, the library
Inter Library Loans system. You need to be onsite to do this
through the Inter Library Loans link on the library ChristieNet
pages. You will need to log on to your library user account with
your library user code. If you need help in accessing your account
or using Winchill, please ask a member of the library staff for
assistance.
For more information on how to request literature through Inter
library Loans please contact
the library.
Journal articles may take about 7 days to arrive. Books
generally take a little longer. We will notify you when the items
has arrived so you can come to collect them from the library. Each
item costs £3.00 which is payable on collection. Some departments
operate a token scheme to pay for Inter-library loans, you should
see you department head to find out if you are eligible for this
scheme. Photocopies are yours to keep, books are available for 3
weeks. The date you need to return the book to the library will be
entered on the date label. Please return these books promptly.
Failure to do so could result in you being fined £100 or more.
Urgent action requests
If you require an item urgently please inform a member of the
library staff. It is not enough to mark your request as urgent.
Items can be obtained by fax on the same day as the request is
made. However this services costs the library nearly £20 per
article so we ask that you only request urgent items when
absolutely necessary. Each urgent action request will cost you
£10.
