If you want to keep up to date with the latest articles published in your favourite journal you can register to receive the current table of contents list. These are known as electronic tables of content or "e-toc" services.

Select the journals you are interested in and we will forward you the latest e-tocs via the internal e-mail system. The "e-tocs" often contain hyperlinks to the full text of articles online. This allows you to access the article as soon as it is made available online, which is often some weeks in advance of receiving the printed copy.

To subscribe to Electronic-Table of Contents (e-tocs) please contact the library for a form. Alternatively visit the library and fill in an e-toc journal profile form or contact the library enquiry desk:

To help keep you up-to-date with all the newly published literature on a particular topic or interest, the library can run regular monthly searches for you across a number of databases such as Medline, Embase or Web of Science.

Your search can be refined to suit your specific need and often records containing the full citation, abstract and a link to the full text article are retrieved. Each month you will receive the next
update for your topic in a manageable form.

These updates can be delivered to your desktop in either electronic or paper copy depending on your preference.

The library staff are happy to carry out literature searches for trust staff. Searches can be run across several databases, for literature over a selected time span and refined to match your topic. These may be unique, comprehensive searches or you may wish to receive updates based on your original search topic.
