Lung
The Lung Cancer team is made up of Medical and
Clinical Oncologists, Specialist Nurses, Medical Statisticians,
Data Managers and Clinical Coordination Staff. The team is based at
the Christie and Wythenshawe Hospitals with the visiting
Oncologists attending various clinics around the region.
Conditions treated by the team are Non-Small Cell Lung Cancers
(NSCLC), including Squamous Cell, Adenoma and Large cell cancers.
Small Cell Lung Cancers (SCLC) and Mesothelioma.
The team offer a range of treatments and advice for lung cancer
patients. Treatments can include chemotherapy, radiotherapy and
concurrent chemo/radiotherapy.
The majority of patients seen by the team receive treatment as
participants in our large portfolio of clinical trials, many of
which are sponsored by worldwide commercial clinical research
partners. The team also run our own in house clinical trials,
including the new international CONVERT
