This event will raise awareness of geriatric oncology conditions and treatment options and develop a forum for multi professional groups to discuss and share knowledge and best practice. Attendees will feel more confident in assessing older patients and understand how co-morbidities may impact on cancer treatment

Intended Audience

Medical, clinical and surgical oncologists, geriatricians, specialist nurses, GPs, allied health professionals, community hospital teams and junior doctors (foundation, core and specialist trainees)


This teaching will be delivered through a varied programmed of speaker presentations in the morning. An interactive MDT will take place after lunch and participative workshops will follow.

The day will provide the opportunity to meet all members of the multi-disciplinary team with the aim of building a support network to further improve patient care for the elderly patient.
