Taking cancer care closer to home - Radiotherapy Centre at Salford

Opening in 2011, a new radiotherapy centre at Salford will be the second completed development for The Christie as part of its network of centres across the Greater Manchester area and beyond. It is The Christie vision to bring its first-class services closer to patients' homes.
The centre which will be built within the grounds of the existing Salford Hospital and will have two radiotherapy machines, one of these will have the ability to deliver Stereotactic radiosurgery, a highly specialised treatment for conditions such as neurological tumours.
