OpenDr. Zuber AhmedGovernor - PEC Chair, NHS Oldham
Appointed by partner organisations
Dr Ahmed is a general practitioner in Oldham and represents
Oldham Primary Care Trust, which is the lead PCT for commissioning
cancer services across Greater Manchester.
OpenMarcella TurnerGovernor - The Black Health Agency
Appointed by partner organisations
Marcella works in the Chief Executive's office at Black Health
Agency (BHA) and is also the Volunteer Coordinator and Events
Coordinator. BHA is a charity dedicated to improving the lives and
changing the futures of people from marginalised communities. She
is assisting us in reaching Black and Minority Ethnic (BME),
marginalised groups and young people within the North West.
OpenDavid MakinGovernor - The Cancer Network
Appointed by partner organisations
David is a former patient who spent over 25 years in the
pharmaceutical industry before retiring in 1993. Since then
he has continued to be active in the health service. He is
chair of the Pennine Health Authority patient user partnership and
also sits on several groups of the Greater Manchester and Cheshire
Cancer Network - the North west breast cancer service steering
group and clinical sub-groups on head & neck cancer,
haemato-oncology and breast cancer
David chaired the patient experience and involvement committee
and the Oldham subgroup until early 2010. He has been
very involved in developing our patient and public involvement
strategy. He is now a member of the quality committee which
replaced the former patient experience committee.
