Elections

The Trust gives notice that it will hold elections to the Council of Governors of The Christie NHS Foundation Trust.

An election is to be held for the following position:

1 Staff Governor in the following constituency:

  • Registered Medical Practitioner (1 vacancy)

A Nomination form to stand for election to this position can be obtained from the Returning Officer at the address shown below.

All Nomination papers should be received by the Returning Officer, Caroline Hinchcliffe, at the address as detailed below, by noon on Wednesday 31st August 2011.

Faxed or emailed nominations will not be accepted.

Should any nominee wish to withdraw their nomination, they must put this in writing to the returning officer by noon on Monday 5th September 2011.

Ballot papers will be distributed to qualifying Members on Tuesday 20th September.  Completed ballot papers must be received by the Independent Scrutineer by noon on Monday 10th October 2011.

Elections 2010

The elections in 2010 were conducted by Electoral Reform Services (ERS) on behalf of The Christie.

The elections for public governors in our Salford, Trafford, Manchester, North West and Remainder of England and Wales public areas and for our staff governors for registered nurses and non- clinical staff are now complete.   Peter Latimer (north west) and Pam Morrison (registered nurses) were unopposed and will serve for another term.

Roger Smith (re-elected) and Rada Kemp were elected as governors for Manchester, Jane Butler for remainder of England and Wales, Chris Angold for Salford and David Bowerman (re-elected) for non-clinical staff.  The final report of voting can be found here (Adobe PDF file).

The mid-term election for the other clinical professional staff governor is now complete.  Keeley Johnson was elected for the remainder of the term until September 2012.  The final report of voting can be found here (Adobe PDF file).  New link to second voting report.
