Board of Directors - Your Involvement

Members of the public, patients, families, staff and local stakeholders, such as MPs, are very welcome to attend our board of directors meetings.

We are committed to a culture of openness and public involvement - and we welcome scrutiny of our work by people both inside and outside our hospital.

Board meetings are held at 9.00am on the fourth Friday of every month. Very occasionally the time and date changes, so you can check by telephoning 0161 446 3703. They are open meetings that anyone can attend.

If you would like to receive board papers in advance of the meeting, so you are aware of the items being discussed, please telephone 0161 446 3703. We will ensure there are additional copies of the agenda and papers available on the day so you can follow the discussion.

Occasionally, the board will have a 'part II meeting' - a private one for members only and, if this is necessary, we will ask the public to withdraw. It is our policy to deal with as much business as possible in 'part I' meetings so that everything we do is open to public scrutiny. However, there are sometimes items that relate to individual staff, or other matters of a sensitive nature, which it would be inappropriate to discuss in a public forum.

If you have any views about the way that board meetings are conducted, please telephone 0161 446 3703.
