Press Release Posted 23 May 2012

The Christie is opening its doors to members of the public with a Trust Open Day, on Saturday 16th June, 10.30am until 3pm, giving everyone a chance to find out more about the specialist cancer centre.

The Trust will be hosting a variety of short guided tours around several departments, such as the Oak Road Patient Treatment Centre and the new surgical theatres, providing the perfect opportunity for members, patients, supporters, members of the public and local residents to find out more about the Trust and chat to staff.   The tours will showcase the latest cancer treatment areas at the Trust and give a rare insight into the expertise involved at The Christie.

As well as a variety of short guided tours, throughout the day there will be displays and activities, along with an update on the latest news and developments.

Guests can enjoy the sounds of traditional British music, complimentary cream teas and scones in the Trust's grounds, and witness some of The Christie's additional services.

If you would like to attend the Jubilee themed Trust Open Day, please just come along to the Oak Road reception on Saturday 16th June from 10.30am - 3pm.
