Trust finance boss scoops national award

The Christie's deputy director of finance has
scooped a prestigious national award for professional excellence in
financial management.
Janet Perry, financial controller at the Department of Health
with Joanne Fitzpatrick, deputy director of finance at The
Christie
Joanne Fitzpatrick, who has worked at the Trust for 19 years,
received the accolade at last night's Healthcare Financial
Management Association awards ceremony.
The award recognises Joanne's contribution to both the
Trust's financial performance, as well as improvements to
patient care. A key area of Joanne's work has been to engage
clinicians across the organisation to invest in improved
services.
Joanne said: "I am absolutely delighted to have won this award
on behalf of the whole of the finance team who work extremely hard
in order to ensure excellence in everything they do."
Director of finance and business development Ian Moston said:
"Joanne deserves recognition for the work she's done over a long
time. It's also important to recognise the team too - having a
great team allows you to make your contribution."
