Join Team Christie at the 2010 Great Manchester Run

Press Release Posted 06 January 2010

The Christie has been chosen as the official local charity for this year's run! As the official local charity, we hope to have the biggest and best Team Christie possible in the race and are hoping that you will join us in running in this fantastic 10K event.

There are a number of ways to register your place:

  • The best way to secure your place is through public registration which opens at www.greatrun.org on 7th January. Demand for places is always high and is expected to close in a matter of days, so please register straight away to secure your place and remember to select 'The Christie' as your chosen charity.
  • The last 10,000 places will be allocated via a special ballot. If you are unsuccessful in the main registration, please enter the ballot to be in with a chance of gaining your place.
  • If you are unsuccessful in the main registration and the ballot you may wish to consider applying for a Christie charity place in this year's event. We will have a limited number of charity places from late January and all applications will be via The Christie charity website.

But remember the best way to guarantee your place is by official registration with Great Run.

Once you have secured your place in the run, don't forget to let us know at The Christie so that we can support your fundraising and let you know about the exciting things taking place on race day! You can secure your Christie fundraising pack and free Christie t-shirt via our charity website.

Christie supporters raised over £180,000 at last year's Great Manchester Run, which will make a huge difference to the lives of the 40,000 patients that visit The Christie every year. This year we hope to raise even more much needed funds but we need your help!
