Transport
The Christie promote transport initiatives such as
recently promoted cycle to work scheme, this initiative is to
encourage staff to cycle to work and leave their cars at home, this
also promotes fit and healthier life styles to staff.
The Christie promotes car sharing dedicated car parking areas
are being reviewes for staff who car share
- Staff travel survey's are undertaken to satisfy our travel
plan, these are continually monitored
- The provision for patient and visitor cycle racks, Oak Road
entrance.
- Ditch your car day, an annual event to promote walking, public
transport, cycling and car sharing as alternative methods of
getting to work, this is supported by Manchester City Council,
GMPTE and a local cycle scheme partner shop who will carryout cycle
maintenance and offer advice on cycling.
