The Christie NHS
Foundation Trust has a well established Corporate Citizenship
Committee to help The Christie embrace sustainable development and
tackle health inequalities through our day to day activities.
Our objective is to be an active and
responsible corporate citizen and play a full part in the local
economy.
Our remit is to:
- Promote health and well being for patients, staff and
carers
- Reduce carbon footprint and waste
- Community engagement
Corporate Citizenship Programs
Our Corporate Citizenship Commitee runs programs specifically
targetting the following key areas:
We believe it is important that the local communities find it
easy to engage with us and give us their views.
The Christie believes in enhancing job skills and providing
development opportunites for staff members.
The Christie promote transport initiatives such as our cycle to
work scheme and car sharing.
We have specific waste recycling, reduction and disposal
schemes.
The Trust requires that sustainability and environmental issues
are considered in the procurement of all relevant goods and
services.
