We help all our staff to develop the necessary skills and attributes to carry out their roles effectively. We also support a learning environment where everyone is encouraged to continuously enhance their knowledge and skills.

Our learning and development unit offers courses, events, information and expert advice on training and development opportunities for all staff.

Continual development

We have the culture and systems in place to support and encourage the development of all staff, at every stage of their working lives.

We provide excellent career progression and help staff to meet any professional development requirements. We offer personal development plans and rotation programmes.

Many staff are supported to attend university and college courses - most of which lead to formal qualifications such as degrees, diplomas, certificates and National Vocational Qualifications.

The best facilities

Our Kostoris Library provides access to a wealth of resources including databases, specialist journals and online resources relating to nursing, cancer and medicine in general.  It provides a positive climate, in which to study and develop, with friendly staff always available to help and advise.

Our library also has strong links with The University of Manchester's school of nursing, midwifery and health visiting.

We also have a state of the art education centre, where an auditorium and seminar rooms are available for study, lectures and speakers.
